Make A Cushion Cover - Tuesday, October 27

Come out and sew a cushion cover to personalize your living space!

This is a great project to practice your sewing skills. There are no zippers to sew in or buttonholes to make.

You Will Learn How To:

  • Use a rotary cutter, ruler and self-healing mat to cut out precise shapes

  • Sew using a consistent seam allowance/in a straight line

  • Finish your seams so they doesn’t fray

This Class Is For You If:

  • You are 16 or older

  • You can thread your machine, wind a bobbin, select stitches, and sew forward and back. You don’t have to have sewn any projects before.

I Will Provide:

  • All tools and equipment.

  • (If you need one) A sewing machine, foot pedal, and empty bobbin.

You Should Bring:

  • 1 meter of quilting cotton or lightweight canvas fabric (this is enough to cover up to a 20” square cushion)

  • A spool of good quality all-purpose thread in a coordinating colour. (No dollar store or vintage thread, please, as these are liable to break!)

  • Universal 80/12 sewing machine needles
